Europe and Denmark is facing major investments in our energy system. The long-term challenge is to switch to 100 percent renewable energy in a way that society can afford. 17 key energy players are now joining forces to redesign the energy system in a more sustainable direction. Innovation Fund Denmark is investing 2.28 million euro in the project.

AAU Professor is World’s Most Cited Researcher in Engineering
Engineering and science at Aalborg University stands strong. Internationally, the faculty’s research distinguishes itself on several international rankings, and most recently, Frede Blaabjerg, AAU Professor in Power Electronics, took first place as the researcher with the highest number of citations per publication in Engineering in the world. The recognized international journal THE (Times Higher Education) provides the rankings based on publications from 2011-2015 and 10 different subject areas.
